Mechatronics Fundamentals Instructors (Part-Time)
About The Position
Virginia Western Community College is seeking part-time Mechatronics Fundamentals Instructors for the School of Career and Corporate Training. This role involves delivering technical instruction and preparing classroom materials in at least two of the following areas: Electrical AC/DC, Multimeters, Precision Measuring Instruments, Mechanical Systems, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Programmable Logic Controllers, Sensors, and Robotics. The instructor will also support the Mechatronics program and the CCT department with other related duties. Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on an as-needed basis for each course and semester.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of two or more of the following topics: Electrical AC/DC, Multimeters, Precision Measuring Instruments, Mechanical Systems, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Programmable Logic Controllers, Sensors and Robotics.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical instructional assignments.
- Prepare classroom materials requiring in-depth knowledge of mechatronics topics.
- Teach topics including Electrical AC/DC, Multimeters, Precision Measuring Instruments, Mechanical Systems, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Programmable Logic Controllers, Sensors, and Robotics.
- Assist in all other instructor-related duties to support the program and the CCT department.
