About The Position

Relativity Space is hiring a Mechanisms Technician II for its Stage Manufacturing team, which builds Terran R’s primary structures and develops the systems and processes used to manufacture the rocket. The technician will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing colleagues to build the first Terran R mechanism assemblies, following precise work instructions and contributing to daily team operations. This is a second-shift role with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. PT. The position is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. The hiring range is $28.27–$42.40 USD. Compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

At least 2 years of aerospace mechanical experience or experience in a related field.
Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments with flight hardware.
Proficiency using calibrated tools, such as torque wrenches and precision inspection equipment.
Experience building and testing electro-mechanical systems.
Experience with wiring, harnessing, and avionics.
Proficiency in relevant aerospace industry standards and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and concern for product quality.

Nice To Haves

Experience with high- and low-voltage electrical testing.
Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical assemblies.
Airframe and Powerplant license.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering teams to build the first Terran R mechanism assemblies.
Follow precise work instructions to complete build operations.
Assemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies using hand tools and test equipment.
Work with a team of technicians to execute daily operations.
