About The Position

Relativity Space is hiring a Senior Mechanisms Technician to support the Stage Manufacturing team as it builds Terran R’s primary structures. The team turns design into reality, with engineers and technicians collaborating to build and improve the systems and processes used to manufacture the rocket. The position contributes to the first Terran R mechanism assemblies and supports daily manufacturing operations. This is a second-shift role scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. PT. The position is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. Compensation is listed as $34.42–$51.63 USD. Relativity Space also offers competitive salary and equity, PTO and sick leave, parental leave, and an annual learning and development stipend.

Requirements

At least 5 years of aerospace mechanical experience or experience in a related field.
Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments with flight hardware.
Proficiency using calibrated tools, such as torque wrenches and precision inspection equipment.
Experience with wiring, harnessing, avionics, and building and testing electro-mechanical systems.
Proficiency in relevant aerospace industry standards and specifications, with strong attention to detail and concern for product quality.
Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical assemblies.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electrical testing, including high and low voltage.
Airframe and Powerplant license.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering teams to build the first Terran R mechanism assemblies.
Follow precise work instructions to complete build operations.
Assemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies using hand tools and test equipment.
Work closely with a team of technicians to execute daily operations.
