About The Position

We are posting for a new opportunity for a Technician Field Support within our Orica Canada team based in Red Chris, British Columbia, Canada. Schedule: 14 days on /14 days off (Fly in/Fly out) - 12 hour shifts. Flights provided from Smithers, Kelowna, Vancouver and Calgary.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in the application of underground bulk emulsion technology
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • At least 2 years inventory management experience
  • A solid understanding of explosives products and applications for the mining industry as well as both Federal & Provincial Explosives Regulations
  • Computer literacy in standard PC

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of, or desire to pursue, a valid BC Mine underground blaster certificate is considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Orica site and ancillary equipment operation in accordance with the service level agreement, corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Implementation of the Orica Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) requirements.
  • Complete adoption of Orica Quality programs.
  • Assist in always providing a quality service of bulk explosive delivery to customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
