About The Position

Performs preventative maintenance functions on a daily basis. Assists other Maintenance personnel in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems of the plant. Leads and assists in plant and equipment beautification projects. Self-motivated individual capable of completing assigned tasks with minimal direction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent/Plant Manager as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
Working at heights may be required at times.
