About The Position

In the role of Mechanical Technician working at the Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado, you will help maintain a safe, reliable workplace by following regulatory standards and supporting equipment maintenance and repairs across a variety of systems. You’ll troubleshoot issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and work alongside cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. This role also involves supporting operations through training and collaboration, completing maintenance activities, and using SAP to track work and drive continuous improvement in a hands-on, dynamic industrial environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be a minimum 21 years of age.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and schedules as needed
  • Four years of industrial maintenance and /or four years practical experience in an accredited industrial apprenticeship program
  • Able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety policies and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, GMP), including Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and hot work procedures
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root cause analysis using methods like RCFA, 5 Whys, and Pareto analysis
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, power transmission equipment, and processing systems
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and (as applicable) welding and machining equipment to complete maintenance tasks
  • Identify equipment deficiencies and initiate improvements in collaboration with engineering, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Update and maintain equipment documentation, including prints, manuals, and system changes
  • Support production operations through coaching, SOP development, and quick-response troubleshooting
  • Develop and deliver training for operations and maintenance team members on equipment and processes
  • Execute and support maintenance plans, including overhauls and follow-up work to ensure equipment reliability
  • Document maintenance work and equipment history in SAP, using data to improve performance and preventive maintenance
  • Partner with maintenance planners to prioritize work and enhance equipment reliability strategies
  • Provide technical support for plant operations, contractors, and capital or continuous improvement projects.
