About The Position

EEI is seeking a Mechanical Specialist for its Mission Critical team. The role independently performs commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of mechanical systems supporting data centers and other high-reliability facilities. Working with technical professionals and project stakeholders, the Mechanical Specialist helps ensure critical facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The position takes ownership of assigned field activities, supports functional performance testing, coordinates issue tracking, and helps progress mechanical systems through startup, testing, documentation, and closeout. It involves field work, troubleshooting, coordination, and contributing to mission-critical project outcomes. The role is primarily an individual contributor, with potential to provide day-to-day guidance, technical support, and field coordination for Mechanical Support personnel and less-experienced team members. It reports to the Mechanical Lead or an assigned project technical lead. Typical travel is up to 75%, depending on the project and individual location. The work environment combines office work and field site visits.
