About The Position

The Mechanical Service Technician is responsible for maintaining all vehicles and ground support equipment at the AAR facility. The technician coordinates repair priorities with the Vehicle Maintenance Foreman and performs assigned work safely and in a timely manner. The role also involves reporting suspected equipment abuse to the foreman and completing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Computer experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Experience repairing automotive and diesel engines, hydraulic and airbrake systems, single- and multi-axle vehicles, transmissions, hydraulic systems for forklifts and man lifts, and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to set priorities for equipment repairs.
• Perform assigned duties safely and in a timely manner.
• Report suspected abuse of equipment to the Vehicle Maintenance Foreman.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
