Plan, oversee work on equipment used in the manufacture of powdered metals and related processes, including setting up, repairing and servicing equipment to meet customer requirements. Assign and check work of group maintenance personnel performing a variety of duties to Install, maintain, and repair equipment, machines, distribution systems and buildings and grounds as required. Fabricate and perform work on complex Powder manufacturing equipment. Monitor preventive maintenance program and schedules. Perform complicated bench repair operations to restore parts where dimensional requirements must be maintained to close tolerances and several complex features are interdependent with regard to location to meet unusual assembly processing specifications. Perform work on Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and High press Gas Systems. Demonstrate proper work methods and procedures to employees, monitor progress and assist with unusual problems. Interface with stock room to maintain a sufficient supply of spare parts. Perform check and layout work on parts using inspection tools. Set-up and operate welding equipment and have knowledge of codes and regulations. May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills. Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment. Must be able to work hours outside of the normal shift. The position will work a schedule of Friday - Sunday (3x12) 7:00am - 7:00pm (4th shift).
