We’re thrilled to welcome a Mechanical/Plumbing-focused Cost Estimator to our Seattle regional office. This role offers the opportunity to be a key member of our cost estimating team, with remote flexibility, with a preference for candidates located in the general region. Requirements

  • Mechanical/Plumbing cost estimating experience required.
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years of cost estimating experience in vertical construction/engineering projects preferred.
  • Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or architecture, or 2 years of applicable construction trade experience in lieu of a degree, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed quantity take-off and preliminary pricing for a variety of construction project types.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings to understand the overall project scope.
  • Support development of comprehensive cost estimates/models communicating the client’s project and strategic goals.
  • Facilitate document control, file management, and project collaboration.
  • Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures.
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors to compile and maintain the accuracy of cost information.
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals.
