Requirements

Mechanical/Plumbing cost estimating experience required.
Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

2-5 years of cost estimating experience in vertical construction/engineering projects preferred.
Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or architecture, or 2 years of applicable construction trade experience in lieu of a degree, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide detailed quantity take-off and preliminary pricing for a variety of construction project types.
Review and interpret construction drawings to understand the overall project scope.
Support development of comprehensive cost estimates/models communicating the client’s project and strategic goals.
Facilitate document control, file management, and project collaboration.
Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures.
Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors to compile and maintain the accuracy of cost information.
Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals.
