We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets. Job Summary We are looking for a motivated employee with good attendance and a willingness to train in all departments for a minimum of 6 weeks or as required to obtain an understanding of the process. Departments worked in will be given credit, if approved by the areas team lead. At the end of this period if attendance and performance has been satisfactory, will start a position in the estimating department at Radius Hot Springs. Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers. Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Creates cost models for cost estimating elements. Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.

Requirements

High School Diploma or general education degree required.
Previous manufacturing experience highly preferred.
Strong computer skills including knowledge in Excel and Word.
Understanding of Aerospace Aluminium sheet-metal fabrication processes, tool manufacturing, titanium forming, assembly structures and BOMs, and Machining.
Ability to read and understand customer specifications, drawings, 3D models, GD& T requirements, and contractual Terms and Conditions.

Nice To Haves

Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
