Mechanical Field Service Technician - Traveling
About The Position
Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Mechanical Field Service Technician - Traveling for a full-time, travel-based opportunity supporting customer sites nationwide. Candidates may live anywhere in the United States, and company-paid travel is provided for project assignments across the country. This hands-on field service position installs, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, welds and fabricates industrial spiral conveyor systems used in food manufacturing plants throughout the United States. The position is customer-facing and requires strong mechanical ability, field welding and fabrication skills, professionalism, dependability and the ability to safely perform demanding physical work in industrial environments.
Requirements
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude REQUIRED
- Field Welding And Fabrication Experience REQUIRED
- MIG Welding Experience REQUIRED
- TIG Welding Experience REQUIRED
- Ability To Work In Physically Demanding Industrial Environments REQUIRED
- Strong Communication And Professionalism REQUIRED
- Authorization To Work In The United States REQUIRED
- Ability To Pass A Background Check REQUIRED
- Ability To Pass A Hair Follicle Drug Test REQUIRED
- Ability To Travel Nationwide To Customer Sites REQUIRED
- Ability To Work 12-Hour Shifts As Needed REQUIRED
- Ability To Lift Up To 75 Pounds REQUIRED
- Ability To Climb Up To 50 Feet REQUIRED
- Ability To Work In Hot And Cold Environments REQUIRED

- 2+ Years Of Industrial Mechanical, Maintenance, Millwright, Field Service Or Equipment Installation Experience
- Experience With Calipers And Micrometers
- Mechanical Troubleshooting Experience

Responsibilities
- Install Spiral Conveyor Systems At Customer Sites
- Troubleshoot And Repair Industrial Conveyor Systems
- Perform Preventive And Corrective Maintenance
- Conduct Mechanical Inspections And Testing
- Complete Quality Checks On Equipment And Repairs
- Diagnose Mechanical Problems And Complete Necessary Repairs
- Work Directly With Plant Managers And Engineers
- Travel To Customer Sites Nationwide
- Perform Field Welding And Fabrication
- Perform MIG Welding
- Perform TIG Welding
- Fabricate And Modify Components As Required For Installation And Repair Work
- Complete Welding And Mechanical Work In Industrial Customer-Site Environments
