About The Position

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student for a summer 2027 internship with the Centrifugal Compression Group in its Mechanical Center of Excellence. The internship provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job experience, allowing the intern to apply their knowledge while supporting Carrier’s business strategy. The intern will learn and apply thermodynamics, design, CAD modeling, CFD analysis, and fluid mechanics, and develop knowledge of turbomachinery design and analysis.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Coursework or previous internships in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, engineering computational tools, or CAD.
• Self-driven and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering software such as Creo and Ansys CFX for CAD modeling and simulation.
• Perform vapor-cycle refrigeration thermodynamic analysis.
• Assist and work closely with laboratory personnel to execute laboratory test plans.
• Assist in troubleshooting compressor performance and field issues.
