About The Position

TTM Technologies, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of technology products, including mission systems, radio frequency (“RF”) components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and technologically advanced printed circuit boards (“PCB”s). TTM stands for time-to-market, representing how TTM's time-critical, one-stop design, engineering and manufacturing services enable customers to reduce the time required to develop new products and bring them to market. This internship involves utilizing and enhancing analysis tools and conducting testing as defined by Mechanical Engineers.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program
  • Must have completed all core Mech Eng Courses
  • Must have completed Experimental Analysis
  • Must have completed LabVIEW programming
  • Must have completed Matlab programming
  • Good interpersonal and cooperation skills
  • Computer skills needed: LabVIEW, Matlab, Programming (C#, Java, SQL, C++, or other), MS Office, 3D CAD (Solidworks or Inventor), FEA (ANSYS, Solidworks, etc)
  • Have the ability to work independently
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC
  • Be able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents
  • Recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation
  • Understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL)
  • Understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US
  • Manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services

Responsibilities

  • Use LabVIEW & Matlab to control a test system and the collection and analysis of data.
  • Enhance testing using LabView and Matlab programming and by implementing new design elements.
  • Create software routines used for quality control.
  • Enhance image analysis techniques.
  • Responsible for other laboratory duties.
  • Perform thermal finite element analyses (FEA).
