About The Position

TTM stands for time-to-market, representing how TTM's time-critical, one-stop design, engineering and manufacturing services enable customers to reduce the time required to develop new products and bring them to market. The Mechanical Engineering Intern will utilize and enhance analysis tools and conduct testing as defined by Mechanical Engineers.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program
  • Must have completed all core Mechanical Engineering Courses
  • Must have completed Experimental Analysis course
  • Must have completed LabVIEW programming course
  • Must have completed Matlab programming course
  • Good interpersonal and cooperation skills
  • Computer skills needed: LabVIEW
  • Computer skills needed: Matlab
  • Computer skills needed: Programming (C#, Java, SQL, C++, or other)
  • Computer skills needed: MS Office
  • Computer skills needed: 3D CAD (Solidworks or Inventor)
  • Computer skills needed: FEA (ANSYS, Solidworks, etc)
  • Have the ability to work independently

  • Desired to have completed Heat Transfer course
  • Desired to have completed Thermodynamics course
  • Desired to have completed Fluid Mechanics course
  • Desired to have completed Machine Design course
  • Desired to have completed Numerical Analysis / Finite Element Analysis course

Responsibilities

  • Use LabVIEW & Matlab to control a test system and the collection and analysis of data.
  • Enhance testing using LabView and Matlab programming and by implementing new design elements.
  • Create software routines used for quality control.
  • Enhance image analysis techniques
  • Responsible for other laboratory duties.
  • Perform thermal finite element analyses (FEA).
