About The Position

Robust AI is a fast-growing, early-stage startup founded in 2019 by veterans in robotics, AI, and business. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join a small, fast-paced team designing and deploying next-generation warehouse robotic systems. You will work with other engineers to conceptualize, design, build, and test robot subsystems. The role suits someone excited about large-scale robot deployment, comfortable in an early-stage startup environment, and able to pivot effectively. The base pay range is $130,000–$180,000, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with SolidWorks and PDM.
Ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally.
Experience working with robotic or mechatronic systems.
Ability to work independently.
Experience working with and managing vendors.

Responsibilities

Work with the mechanical team to deliver the next-generation robot design.
Design and manage components throughout the hardware lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, and production.
Work cross-functionally with electrical engineering, product, and software teams to ensure design decisions fit system constraints.
Propose and resolve issues with current robot systems while accounting for engineering effort and budget.
Rapidly iterate on designs by building quick prototypes.
Design and execute test plans for designs.
