About The Position

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level mechanical engineer for its rapidly expanding Energy Solutions division. This role supports performance contracts from inception to completion, involving client interaction, project development, engineering design review, bidding support, contract administration, construction oversight, system commissioning, warranty support, and developing Measurement & Verification (M&V) reports. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses a strong technical background, and thrives on assisting clients. While the position is within the performance contracting division, engineers with HVAC design and commissioning experience can transition effectively into energy engineering.

Requirements

• Minimum 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
• Candidates must have current work authorization in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and present project opportunities to potential clients
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes
• Help facilitate the contract administration process
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period
• Commission installed systems to validate performance
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed
• Work with our Measurement & Verification (M&V) professional to develop M&V reports
