About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer Intern provides mechanical engineering support to the existing team and completes drawing and documentation projects in accordance with company ISO procedures. The intern participates in the mechanical group, creates design concepts in 3D using Inventor and converts them to 2D when required, and documents design, testing, and other project data in accordance with ISO 9001 and Engineering Department procedures.

The role also involves preparing project schedules and cost estimates, completing projects on time and within budget, and planning and executing assigned design and development projects in accordance with company and department procedures and business group needs. Design considerations include hazardous areas, testing, and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Be in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Have solid mechanical aptitude.
• Have drafting and design skills.
• Have essential 2D AutoCAD and 3D skills; Autodesk Inventor is ideal.
• Have good organizational and time-management skills.
• Have strong PC skills, including Microsoft tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the mechanical group.
