About The Position
Radiance Technologies is seeking a mechanical engineering student for an internship in summer 2027. The intern will support engineering staff with high-energy laser test instrumentation operations and maintenance, as well as projects to enhance and operate a directed energy system integration laboratory. Experience with design, analysis, and fabrication is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a project group are required.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.3; include GPA on resume.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work within a project group.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with design, analysis, and fabrication.
- Proficiency with MATLAB.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks Design/Analysis.
- Laboratory and design experience from coursework and outside projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Basic fabrication skills.
- Self-starter.
