About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer Intern provides mechanical engineering support to the existing team and completes drawing and documentation projects in accordance with company ISO procedures. The role contributes to the mechanical group, develops design concepts in 3D using Inventor and converts them to 2D when required, and documents design, testing, and other project data in accordance with ISO 9001 and Engineering Department procedures. The intern may prepare project schedules and cost estimates, and is expected to complete assigned projects on time, within budget, and with anticipated results. Design and development projects are planned and executed according to company and department procedures and business group needs, including design for hazardous areas, testing, and manufacturing.

Requirements

Be in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Solid mechanical aptitude.
Drafting and design skills.
Essential 2D AutoCAD and 3D skills; ideally, Autodesk Inventor.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Strong PC skills, including Microsoft.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Autodesk Inventor is ideal.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical engineering support as a member of the mechanical group.
