Requirements

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus 1–3 years in product development or R&D
Real hands-on prototyping experience — you've built and tested physical hardware
Solid grasp of electromechanical systems (motors, gearing, mechanisms, basic electronics)
Proficiency in 3D CAD — SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or similar
Experience taking a product from concept to production
Comfort with fast-moving, iterative environments where requirements evolve
Energy and creativity when facing problems no one has solved before

Nice To Haves

Consumer products, appliances, or high-volume manufacturing experience
Rapid prototyping methods — 3D printing, machining, soft tooling
FEA / CFD simulation tools

Responsibilities

Own products from early concept through production — design, prototype, test, iterate, ship
Design electromechanical systems that integrate motors, sensors, actuators, PCBs, and controls
Build hands-on prototypes using in-house lab tools, rapid prototyping, and supplier support
Dig into root-cause analysis and troubleshoot mechanical and system-level issues directly
Translate product requirements into CAD models, drawings, tolerances, and specs
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with EE, ID, NPD, and testing teams from day one
Run design validation, reliability testing, and DFM/DFA reviews
