In this role as R&D Engineer, Mechanical, you will focus primarily on application of structural mechanics to the development and maintenance of superconducting MRI magnet products and technologies. You will perform detailed mechanical design and analysis for superconducting MRI magnet systems, including cryogenic vessels, coil and component support structures. You will develop and validate structural models for static and dynamic loading conditions using advanced engineering analysis methods to assess stresses and meet allowable material limits. You will execute product development activities including requirements management, FMEA, risk mitigation, prototype development, verification, validation and documentation of design inputs/outputs. You will collaborate with external vendors and internal manufacturing teams on prototype fabrication, industrialization and qualification activities to implement new designs. You will investigate and resolve field-related structural issues while contributing to cross-functional R&D teams throughout all phases of product development.
