About The Position

Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a full-time Mechanical Drafter to join its team in Pontiac, Illinois. The role supports Manufacturing Engineers by producing drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation for new manufacturing equipment and processes. It offers an opportunity to develop hands-on drafting experience in a manufacturing environment. The position includes full benefits and paid time off. Salary expectations are $35,000–$38,000 per year.

Requirements

High school diploma plus at least 1 year of drafting or related experience.
Demonstrated drafting and 3D modeling skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal follow-up once trained.
Professional conduct, including appropriate language, strong time management, and professional personal presentation.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Siemens NX and/or AutoCAD.
Desire to gain experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

Draft and model tooling, tool layouts, and fixture drawings for newly purchased machines and processes.
Support tool design engineering with drawings and 3D models, expanding the group's tool design drafting capabilities.
Assist Manufacturing Engineers with layouts and with the development and validation of technical documentation for new machine acquisitions.
Convert supplier drawings to company drafting standards.
Review and align on work priorities with the manager.
Occasionally access the factory floor.
