About The Position

The primary function of this position is drafting. The Mechanical Drafter drafts conveyor design options using computerized drawing software, computes cost estimates for design alternatives, and documents design processes. The role also assists with feasibility studies and projects as needed by the management team, as well as facility maintenance, asset protection, housekeeping oversight, environmental audits, and compliance training.

Requirements

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D drafting.
• Proficiency with Autodesk products, including AutoCAD, Architecture, Inventor with Factory Design Utilities, Navisworks Manage, and Docs.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in determining corrective actions for damaged or worn equipment based on breakdown history and discussions with the operations team, considering cost-effective solutions.
• Assist with overseeing protection of physical assets, facility and equipment maintenance, and facility housekeeping to support a safe, clean, and efficient facility.
• Dispatch and oversee outside housekeeping service vendors through physical inspections to ensure quality of work.
• Participate in environmental audits.
• Provide compliance training with some supervision.
• Draft feasibility studies and assist with projects as needed by the management team.
• Draft conveyor design options using computerized drawing software such as AutoCAD.
• Compute cost estimates of design alternatives.
• Document design processes.
