About The Position

VAL-CO Industries is hiring a full-time, onsite Mechanical Designer in New Holland, Pennsylvania. The role develops mechanical designs and drawings that communicate project concepts and maintains technical expertise for assigned products. The designer follows Engineering procedures for design, document control, and drawing accuracy; supports engineering projects through equipment testing and modifications; prepares product manuals; and works with vendors. The position also requires maintaining accurate records of project work, calculations, and time investments, and communicating effectively with managers, stakeholders, and customers. The work supports VAL-CO’s agriculture-industry products and its values of integrity, respect, and creativity.

Requirements

Two-year technical degree in Design or Drafting, or equivalent experience and knowledge.
At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design or drafting.
Understanding of mechanical design principles.
Understanding of proper drafting procedures.
Understanding of document control principles.
Proficiency in design software.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.
