About The Position

CTG is seeking a Mechanical Designer to design and modify mechanical equipment, components, and layouts for industrial manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, mechanical drafting, manufacturing drawings, and equipment design.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of mechanical design/drafting experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
• Experience with mechanical equipment design, CAD drafting, layouts, and manufacturing drawings
• Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Minimal travel to vendor locations may be required

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Create and modify mechanical designs, equipment layouts, and detailed manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor
• Develop drawing packages, machine part lists, build packages, illustrations, and equipment specifications
• Redesign components to resolve equipment interference, design issues, and installation challenges
• Prepare sketches and marked-up drawings and implement engineering design changes
• Apply knowledge of machining, fabrication, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems
• Interpret electrical schematics and translate engineering requirements into mechanical designs
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and cross-functional teams
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace and job-site safety
