Kimley-Horn is seeking a Mechanical Designer with 4+ years of experience to join the St. Petersburg, Florida (FL) office. This is not a remote position. The lead designer role is in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities. You will have the ability to oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients. You will assist with Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities. You will mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects. You will manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects. You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships. You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors on multiple project types including: Office, Residential Highrise, Mixed-use/ Retail, Municiple, Hospitality, Transportation, Industrial/Manufacturing, and Sustainability/ Decarbonization.
