About The Position

HindlePower has been designing and manufacturing industrial (non-commercial) battery chargers and dc power systems for the utility industry for over 35 years. Our staff and products serve the power generation and distribution market, switchgear OEMs, power substations, the oil and gas industry, and various transportation maintenance facilities. We are the leaders in our industry and have customers in all 50 states plus additional countries worldwide. We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our Mechanical Engineering team and support the design, release, and sustainment of industrial battery chargers and dc power systems. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers, manufacturing, supply chain, and production to develop designs that move efficiently from concept through production and long term support. You will support both new product development and existing product platforms, and because we manufacture everything here, including our own sheet metal, you will see what you design get built.
