Responsibilities Your Role: The Mechanical Designer will provide mechanical design services related to machine and product design for custom application equipment division within Presto. You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen! Responsible for machine drawing updates, design modifications to existing subassemblies, new machine designs, and support of new product development. Generating creative ideas and solutions, participation in design reviews, participation in prototype machine development. Creating and organizing upgrade projects to existing machinery in the field. Emphasis on the design of engineering solutions for application of new products via new machines, retrofit of existing machines for new products, and continuous improvement of existing machine platforms. Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering or related field preferred with 1-3 years of related professional and progressive manufacturing experience.
  • Or 2-Year Technical degree with 3-5 years of machine design experience
  • Must understand machine drawings and geometric tolerancing of machine components
  • Must be able to review documentation - make corrections & updates as directed
  • Experience designing new machines or subassemblies
  • Experience working on equipment in the field for repairs or upgrades
  • Strong hands-on experience working with equipment and processes
  • Ability to work with tools and measurement devices
  • Ability to work with machine shops
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Inventor 3-D software
  • Experience with AutoCAD Vault
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with customers
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts with a positive and professional presence internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Must be able to travel 20-30% Domestic and Internationally
