About The Position

This internship role focuses on mechanical design engineering, where you will utilize analytical skills, reasoning, and engineering judgment to develop new and innovative products and technologies. You will be responsible for designing various components, including those made from injection molded plastics, die and investment castings, stampings, and machined parts. The role involves collaborating with global, cross-functional project teams to ensure designs meet internal requirements and industry standards. You will also support prototype construction, laboratory testing, and agency testing throughout the product design cycle. Additionally, you will apply sound engineering practices to solve quality issues, provide continuation engineering support for existing products, and interact with various departments such as software, electrical, manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, sales, and customers on technical matters. A key aspect of the role is identifying and implementing product and process cost reductions and improvements.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
  • Zero (0) years of related experience
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
