About The Position

This internship role focuses on supporting product design, testing, and development activities within both office and lab environments. The intern will be involved in designing or modifying products, assisting with prototypes and testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position also involves recommending improvements to enhance quality and reduce costs, preparing test results, and supporting existing products.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
  • Zero (0) years of related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship or related work experience
  • Basic understanding of simple mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with use of basic hands and small power tools

Responsibilities

  • Work in both office and lab environments to support product design, testing, and development activities.
  • Design or modify products using engineering judgment, company standards, and knowledge of applications.
  • Assist with prototypes, lab and agency testing, and apply sound engineering practices to resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers on technical matters and design reviews.
  • Recommend design and process improvements to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing capabilities.
  • Prepare and present test results, manage engineering changes, and provide ongoing support for existing products.
