About The Position

Coordination of construction with trades, engineers, and owners in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • General understanding of construction sequencing using the latest construction industry standards.
  • Familiarity with utilities infrastructure in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
  • Must be in the field during the time trades are working, to enable immediate issue resolution in the field, escalate issues to superiors as appropriate.
  • Minimum 5+ years Mechanical/Process experience (journeyman level)
  • Five to ten years related experience in the construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Mechanical systems i.e. scrubbers, chillers, pumps etc.
  • Knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards-SMACNA
  • Computer skills required: MS Office
  • Previous semiconductor, high-tech, or industrial construction experience.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators.
  • Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed.

Nice To Haves

  • A BS in Construction Management is preferred or 5+ years direct semiconductor trades and construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction to the schedule; identify, coordinate, and communicate detailed tasks and plans for execution of scope.
  • Oversee industrial chilled and hot water systems, process cooling water, exhaust systems, and compressed air systems, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, roof top units, air compressors, fans, and motors.
  • Review contractor procedures, reports, and testing activities for all project disciplines to all code and regulative testing and verification requirements.
  • Perform mechanical system walk-downs, installation verification to requirements of all drawings, P&ID’s, specifications, submittals, specific system and legislative prerequisites with any deficiencies, errors or corrective actions required being notified to the construction team via field work reporting and punch list generation.
  • Verify the operation and integration of all individual mechanical system components as part of a fully functional controlled system as per design intent.
  • Review design drawings and specifications to ensure all equipment has been installed correctly and meets the owners project requirements.
