Mechanical Field Service Technician - Pumps
About The Position
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to support our L.W. Allen brand. This role will work out of our Madison, WI location. Our L.W. Allen brand is a full-service distributor and integrator of pumps and represents leading manufacturers that provide solutions for both municipal and industrial fluid handling requirements. As our Field Service Technician, you will work alongside experienced technicians to test, start up, and commission new pump system projects. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing water and wastewater pumps in both shop and field environments. You will regularly operate power tools, hand tools, and a truck-mounted hoist to safely complete installations and repairs. This position primarily works daytime hours and involves traveling to customer job sites throughout Wisconsin, with very few overnight stays required.
Requirements
- General mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to work safely around heavy mechanical equipment
- A high school diploma
- 1-2 years of applicable experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience with pump repair and maintenance is beneficial
- Working knowledge of pump operation and applications is preferred
Responsibilities
