About The Position

We’re hiring a Mechanical Assembler for our Houston, TX client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately! This is a temp-to-hire position with a pay rate of $22-28 DOE and hours of M-F 6am-4pm.

Requirements

• Must be able to read assembly blueprints in English format
• Must be willing and able to work overtime and occasional weekends as required
• Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization
• Working knowledge of shop safety practices
• Understanding of quality assurance concepts, typically acquired through in-house training
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Adaptability and willingness to be cross trained
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

• Performs gearbox assembly and test
• Reads blueprints, calipers, and other measuring instruments, records dimensions, and other details on production logs
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment organized, including tools
• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Works with other facility teams (Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering) to ensure that assembly/test problems are addressed and resolved quickly
• Comply with all Company and HSE policies and procedures
• Utilize safe work habits at all times
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
