Mechanical Assembler
About The Position
The Assembler assembles and tests products, troubleshoots and resolves technical issues, and creates labor records for all transactions. The role involves assembling components across all Product Lines, selecting appropriate tools and fixtures, reading blueprints, identifying components, using hand tools and rework techniques, operating equipment, and dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies. The Assembler also uses the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement. Required personal protective equipment will be provided except for steel-toed boots, which the employee must supply.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of assembler experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Supply personal steel-toed boots; other required PPE will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assemble components of all Product Lines and select the correct tools and fixtures.
- Test assembled products and troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with assembly and testing.
- Read blueprints, identify components, use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques, and operate equipment while dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Create labor records for all transactions.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
