About The Position

The Mechanical Assembler uses blueprints and hand tools to build conveyor products. The role involves working from drawings and supervisor instructions, checking work for quality and compliance with specifications, and recording assembly status using a computer. Employees must follow safety requirements and Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures, and support sustainable process outputs, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. Overtime and assigned shifts may be required.

Requirements

At least 1 year of machine assembly experience.
Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and assembly drawings.
Ability to read exact measurements on a tape measure without assistance.
Basic computer knowledge and basic math skills.
Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Team orientation.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to meet the listed physical demands, including medium work and activities such as standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and repetitive hand and finger motions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Crane operation experience preferred but not required.
Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assemble products based on drawings and supervisor instructions.
Follow supervisors’ instructions regarding work to be performed.
Self-inspect work for quality and compliance with specifications.
Use a computer to record assembly status.
