Mechanical Assembler
About The Position
PacSci EMC is hiring a full-time Mechanical Assembler to perform production assembly work under direct supervision. The position supports continuous improvement in operations and assembly processes and involves handling inert and energetic materials in explosive handling areas. Assemblers use visual aids, drawings, and verbal and written instructions to assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble components and subassemblies, receiving detailed instruction on new assignments. On-the-job training is provided. Offsite training may be required to maintain certifications, such as JSTD. Overtime is required on Fridays and Saturdays as needed. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and proficient dexterity for the safe handling of explosive devices. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required for this role. The position is eligible for a bonus. The stated salary range is 16.92–31.44 in local currency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools preferred.
- Ability to understand and speak English and to read and write in English.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role according to the job description.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely handle explosive devices with proficient dexterity.

Responsibilities
- Work under direct supervision.
- Weigh and press inert and energetic materials.
- Set up and use an analytical balance.
- Perform inert assembly operations.
- Perform minor cabling, potting, tinning, and assembly work.
- Set up and use a powder press for pressing operations.
- Perform minor setup for specific equipment.
- Perform production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.
- Use visual aids, drawings, and verbal and written instructions to assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble units.
- Install subassemblies.
- Safely handle explosive devices using proficient dexterity.
- Attend offsite training classes when required to maintain certifications.
