About The Position
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Mechanical Assembler. This is a full-time, contract position with a duration of 6 months and potential for extension. The role is onsite in Bohemia, NY, working the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for building sub-assemblies and final products using raw materials by interpreting blueprints and engineered drawings. You will also operate hand, power, and pneumatic tools to secure parts and maintain equipment daily, and conduct visual checks/quality inspections, using precision instruments to log and flag defects.
Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma /(GED)
- 1-3 years prior assembly experience (able to use small tools i.e. torque wrench)
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings and schematics is a plus.
- This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.
Responsibilities
- Build sub-assemblies and final products using raw materials by interpreting blueprints and engineered blueprints.
- Proficiently operate hand, power, and pneumatic tools to secure parts and maintain equipment daily.
- Conduct visual checks/quality inspection and use precision instruments to log and flag defects.
