About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a CNC Machinist. This is a full-time, contract position with a duration of 12 months, located in Mountainhome, PA. The shift is the 1st shift. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up CNC machines for specific production steps or processes, such as producing machined parts. You will also check SPC charts for frequency of checks, gauging, and measurements, and monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process charts and other control procedures. The role requires interpreting blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, design sketches, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for operation, material, and dimensional requirements. This position involves completing highly complex tasks in creative and effective ways, requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve complex problems. You will make recommendations for new procedures, take measurements of material, select appropriate machines for the process, conduct inspections of work produced, and maintain records and quality/safety standards.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) is mandatory

Nice To Haves

  • CNC certifications are preferred (Zeiss CMMs)

  • Conduct inspections of work produced.
  • Keep records and maintain quality/safety standards.
