About The Position

The Mechanical Assembler II assembles or fabricates mechanical parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment and follows required specifications. The role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and written instructions to assemble parts or products, identifying faulty components during assembly, and testing assembled products to verify functionality.

This position maintains and builds specialty industrial equipment, manufactures and assembles machinery according to specifications, and prepares project items for packing. It may also involve equipment testing, facility and yard maintenance, inventory updates, and rebuilding machinery returned from projects. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

• Good mechanical background.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material-moving equipment.
• Knowledge of machines, hand tools, and power tools needed for assembly.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruction.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Successful completion of welding tests and qualifications.
• At least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and build specialty industrial equipment.
• Assemble and manufacture machinery according to specifications provided by superiors.
• Assemble and pack items for specific projects using packing lists provided by superiors.
• Test completed machinery according to guidelines.
• Assist with building and yard maintenance as needed.
• Assist with inventory updates.
• Assist with rebuilding machinery returned from projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and written instructions.
• Identify faulty components during assembly and test assembled parts or products for functionality.
