About The Position

The Mechanic ensures equipment and vehicles are ready and operating through repairs and maintenance. The role involves coordinating major repairs and maintenance with Managers, gathering information from field specialists, reviewing Vehicle Inspection Reports, and prioritizing work. The Mechanic orders and receives parts and supplies and completes paperwork for the office and vendors. When possible, the Mechanic trains field specialists on equipment maintenance and vehicle operation and maintains a safe, orderly work environment in the Shop and Yard. This position services SavATree locations in Tampa and Sarasota.

Requirements

Small engine repair experience.
Knowledge of two-stroke engine repair.
Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience.
Experience operating and maintaining aerial lifts (bucket) trucks.
Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps.
Own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance.
Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts for learning, troubleshooting, and analyzing mechanical or electrical repairs.
Valid driver’s license required.
Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

CDL preferred.
ASE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities
