About The Position

This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining pipelines and equipment, and performing work associated with the daily operation and maintenance of gas and liquid facilities and pipelines. The mechanic inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and operates equipment and facilities to meet production and product throughput requirements reliably and efficiently while complying with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The role includes coordinating work and resources, maintaining records and documentation, supporting safety programs, and providing rotating on-call coverage. The position may be hired at Level C, B, or A, with experience requirements varying by level.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Relevant industry or equivalent work experience: Level C requires 0–2 years; Level B requires 2–4 years; Level A requires 4 or more years.
Valid driver’s license with a demonstrated safe driving record; ability to be certified as a USDOT driver under FMCSA may be required depending on applicable law, reporting location, and geographic work area.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a group environment.
Self-starter who can work independently and exercise good judgment.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks associated with various facilities and equipment.
Proficiency with computers, including MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook, as well as computer-based work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and online work applications and documentation.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate compressor station or pump station equipment, plant facilities, and pipeline facilities, including prime movers and compressors, valves, filters, separators, dehydrators, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
Plan, organize, prioritize, communicate, and coordinate work with employees and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and effectively.
Provide budgetary information, schedule work and outages, order materials, maintain inventory, and coordinate required resources.
Interpret and use drawings, schematics, loading and pump curves, OEM manuals, and other technical resources when performing assigned work.
Safely use hand tools, power tools, and portable and mobile work equipment in hazardous, classified, and non-hazardous environments.
Use precision measurement equipment to determine dimensions and set operating equipment clearances and tolerances.
Maintain equipment records, logs, inventory, and other documentation required by company procedures and regulatory agencies.
Provide training and leadership to develop and maintain effective work crews, depending on level hired.
Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements, perform associated required tasks, and complete required documentation, including OSHA, DOT, and EPA requirements.
Maintain facilities, grounds, and work areas in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner.
Participate in and provide leadership for safety programs and initiatives while following policies and procedures.
Provide rotating on-call support for areas of responsibility.
Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures.
Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
