About The Position

The Mechanic repairs industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gearboxes, and related equipment while supporting a continuous-improvement culture. The role involves diagnosing incoming equipment, performing mechanical rebuilds and repairs, recording measurements, and participating in discussions about customer products. The position emphasizes safety, technical skill, attention to detail, problem-solving, teamwork, customer focus, and ongoing learning.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of AC/DC motor experience preferred.
• Able to perform basic math functions.
• Able to diagnose and repair industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
• Able to understand, perform, and retain job-related training, operational procedures, and safety procedures.
• Excellent technical and mechanical skills.
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
• Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose incoming units, disassemble and repair them, reassemble them, and prepare items for shipment.
• Perform mechanical rebuilds on rotating equipment such as electric motors, pumps, and fans.
• Measure and record data using tables, dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration meters.
• Use multimeters, meggers, and Baker instruments; measure winding resistance, RTD and heater resistance, and mechanical fits and clearances.
• Participate in daily operations discussions about customer products.
• Support the company's continuous-improvement process culture.
