About The Position

The Mechanic performs routine repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, with supervision as needed. The role diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment; conducts inspections and preventive maintenance; replaces minor components; and accurately prepares and maintains records and reports. The position generally works 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime depending on workload. Frequent travel may be required, and work may take place in varying weather conditions and shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• At least six months of related work skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience or vocational training preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Sensitivity to confidential information.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Strong physical and mental health to maintain a demanding workload and ability to work under stressful conditions at times.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Dependable and reliable, with the ability to fulfill responsibilities.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to gather, categorize, and evaluate information, identify changes or similarities, solve problems, and resolve conflicts and minor problems.
• Ability to handle lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel frequently as required and work in a variety of weather conditions.
