About The Position

Denali is the leading organic recycling company on a mission to unlock the power of unused food and organics, transforming them into resources to feed, fuel and replenish the earth. This position is a safety sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her own safety as well as the safety of others. The Mechanic will maintain all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment throughout the plant and office safely and effectively, to meet organization requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance and operation.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with hydraulic powered units.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of flow meters, PLC's, VFD's, transmitters, motors, switch gear and other process control equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret blueprint drawings and documents.
  • Must meet the assessment requirements.
  • Possess knowledge required to monitor performance of equipment.
  • Must understand all safety requirements and other communications.
  • If needed, must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, walking frequently
  • Good sight and hearing to avoid hazards
  • Must be able to communicate
  • Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to seat belts, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and other as may be required by a hot/cold, industrial environment.
  • Must meet all physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all maintenance, including but not limited to preventative, corrective, emergency, contracted, and warranty service on all equipment throughout the plant.
  • Identifies, repairs and documents electrical and instrumentation equipment malfunctions. Discuss software problems in PLC for equipment operation and control with Facility Managers as required.
  • Conducts predictive analysis of all systems and equipment periodically to update PM system.
  • Ensures completion of work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
  • Monitors equipment on a regular basis and documents results.
  • Installs and tests new equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and standard safety procedures.
  • Supports all company and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Performs any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the facility.
  • If no work will ask managers and assist where needed.
