About The Position

Denali Water Solutions is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator to support daily operations involving compost, mulch, and topsoil production. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently while assisting with material handling, loading operations, and landfill transportation activities. The ideal candidate will have experience operating front-end wheel loaders and other production equipment in an outdoor industrial environment. This role also requires a valid CDL to operate company vehicles and transport trash compactors to designated landfill locations several times per week. This position is safety-sensitive and requires a clear mind and diligence. Employees are responsible for their own safety as well as the safety of others.

Requirements

  • Experience operating wheel loaders or similar heavy equipment
  • Ability to safely load trucks and move large volumes of material
  • Ability to work in an outdoor industrial environment
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment inspection knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in composting, mulch, topsoil, recycling, agricultural, landscaping, mining, or construction operations
  • Experience feeding screening equipment and managing material stockpiles
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • CDL License preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a front-end wheel loader in support of daily production activities
  • Load tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and customer vehicles with finished materials
  • Blend compost, mulch, topsoil, and other products to meet quality specifications
  • Feed screening equipment and production systems to maintain efficient workflow
  • Turn and flip material piles as directed to support production and inventory management
  • Move raw materials and finished products throughout the site
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment
  • Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
  • Maintain accurate inventory and stockpile organization
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and free of hazards
  • Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures
  • Assist with general site operations and material handling activities as needed
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and operational briefings
