Mechanic
About The Position
Transit Team, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Light-Duty Gasoline Buses, Sedans, and WAV. This role involves completing preventive maintenance inspections to ensure the fleet is safe and road-ready, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and gasoline systems, and ensuring all repairs meet DOT and safety standards. The Mechanic will work independently while staying connected with the team. This position is crucial for providing a service to vulnerable adults who need to get to their destinations safely, directly supporting families, communities, and the people who rely on Transit Team every day.
Requirements
- Experience working on Light-Duty Gasoline Buses, Sedans, and WAV
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Strong commitment to safety and quality work
- Valid driver’s license
- DOT Health Card or willing to obtain
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Ford, GM, or fleet vehicles
- ASE certifications
- Previous school bus or transit fleet experience
