About The Position

MV Transportation is hiring experienced Mechanics to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, service and repair vehicle systems, and work safely. The role includes maintaining steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical systems, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. Mechanics may also analyze damaged parts, assist with inventory control, and perform other duties as needed. The position pays $37 per hour for a 40-hour workweek, with overtime as needed beyond 40 hours. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
A combination of at least one to two years of apprentice-level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics; this may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program.
CDL Class B required; paid training is available to obtain it.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, examine, and investigate vehicles to determine causes of defective operation in vehicle systems and components.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on vehicles.
Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.
Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
Perform part analysis on damaged parts and assist with inventory control or other duties as necessary.
Work safely while servicing and repairing vehicle systems and components.
