As a Mechanic II in our Machine Shop, you'll disassemble, repair, and rebuild complex engine and compressor components that our customers depend on around the globe. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Able to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications.
  • Physically able to perform tasks involving pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and similar activity.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read schematics.
  • Mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a team-first mindset, with the ability to work independently to engineering specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in operations or service center environments.
  • Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and setting up and running test operations to engineering specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, position, reassemble, test, and paint moderate to highly complex natural gas engine and compressor equipment, using manual, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
  • Clean, inspect, and repair engine and compressor components in a shop environment, reading detailed prints and precision instruments such as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Conduct risk assessments before performing operations and material movements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in line with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure facility equipment and tooling stay operational, efficient, and safe.
  • Identify and report problems or hazardous conditions during equipment operations.
  • Complete required business training and documentation accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members, communicating clearly to keep work on schedule.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.
